Are you accepting new patients?
Yes! We are accepting new patients and are so excited to meet you and your family. Please call 860-453-0945 or submit an appointment request online.
What ages of patients do you see?
At Children’s Eye Care of Connecticut, we see children of all ages. Dr. Collinge treats a variety of different eye problems in children. She also has training and experience managing adults with eye movement problems. Do I need a referral to schedule an appointment?
Dr. Collinge does not require a referral to see patients, but some insurance plans do. Please check with your insurance provider to see if they need you to get a referral from the primary care doctor in order to see Dr. Collinge
Do you take Medicaid?
Yes! We are happy to help our patients with Husky insurance plans.
What insurances do you take?
We contract with most major medical insurances. Please check here for the most up-to-date information.

Do you take vision insurance?
Since Dr. Collinge is a medical doctor, she bills under medical insurance plans. Please click here for more information on the insurance plans we currently work with.
Vision plans through your insurance carrier do not contract with our practice. And so unfortunately, Children’s Eye Care of Connecticut is considered “out-of-network” for vision plans. However, some vision plans may provide “out-of-network” benefits and we are happy to give supportive documents so that you can apply for those benefits if needed.
How much will my visit cost?
The price of an exam depends on what type of exam it is (new exam, complete exam, quick follow-up exam, etc.) and if there is any extra testing needed. All copays, deductibles and refraction fees are due at the time of visit. We are happy to provide an estimate please contact us for more information at 860-453-0945 or on the website.
